Colfax &
Chicago Park are home to the scenic Rollins Lake, offering fishing,
boating, hiking, water skiing, camping & more. Recreational
gold panning is popular in the Bear River. The unique shops &
restaurants in Colfax appeal to all. Colfax also offers an Amtrak
train stop. This area often receives just enough snow for the
family to play in winter.
The Colfax theatre has the charm of yesteryear, with the benefits of
today's surround sound. It also features a camera museum &
many travel to Colfax just to enjoy this treasure from the past.
Just at the outskirts of Colfax is a marvelous Victorian Tea House
called the Rose Mountain Manor. Small groups can enjoy a 3-course
tea in the quaint Victorian tearoom or outside under the Victorian

Colfax is the Bear River & the American River. There are many
